Why the credits stay narrow
Building a patio is building a patio. Advisory is advisory. Tellus built a patio for the Ritz-Carlton; it did not build the Ritz-Carlton, and neither credit is allowed to blur into a claim that is not true. A brand name on your record is worth exactly what it is, no more, and two accurate, narrow credits beat one inflated one.
Asking the bigger question has a cost: a client who wanted a patio can read it as overreach. I raise it once, to the right seat, and then I finish the work I was hired for.
What it produced
Two accurate, narrow credits, both through Tellus, both carrying the Ritz-Carlton name: an outdoor patio built for the Ritz-Carlton in Laguna Beach, and development advisory on Ritz-Carlton branded residences. Neither credit is allowed to blur into a claim that Tellus built, or Jesse ran, the Ritz-Carlton itself.
